Is the hd 5850 still a decent card

Hi, I was looking at a used HD 5850 for $100 and wondered if it was even worth it or if I should wait and get a newer card. Although it seems like the 5850 is still a decent performer right now compared to other cards in the $100 to $150 range like the hd 6850 or it doesn't do terrible agiainst a gtx 470 in gaming benchmarks(http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/295?vs=311). But I don't know what to think, and I don't need to turn everything up super high just something that will play newer games at at least medium settings, maybe that's unreasonably with a i3-2120? So just need some opinions, thanks.

It's actually faster than the 6850!

I have 2 x 6850 in xfire, and they're burly.

That said 1 on 1 the 5850 is "better"but uses more power.

IMO unless you're gonna xfire go with the 5850

Sure the 5850 is still a pretty good card. Not a bad price for it.

its a still a good price to performance contender for sub 200$ cards. it will probably handle medium resolution well, and full resolution with some settings turned down.
