Upgrading from Q9550

Hi,

I want to upgrade my cpu i have a q9550 quad-core, i want 30% increase in performance at least will the amd fx 3850 give me that or do you have other cpu options for me please advise.

30% increase in what apps?

fx 8350 would be well in excess of 30% faster in most apps, but depending on what you are doing, an intel i5 might be a better use of funds.
