6850 Crossfire vs New GTX 670?

Hello! I'm new to Tom's Hardware. Just wondering if I should save myself £200 and just get another 6850, or buy a new GTX 670? I have a 750W power supply.

  1. A GTX 670 is much much better than Crossfire HD 6850's.
  2. Is the price worth it for the extra performance?
  3. The GTX 670 is the card with one of the best values on the market right now. What is the resolution of your monitor?
  4. 1920x1080
  5. Then a GTX 670 will definitely serve you well :D. If you have the money, go ahead; you won't be disappointed.

Thanks! What about a CPU to pair? I currently have an AMD X3 CPU that has been unlocked to a quad core. Maybe a 3570k?
  7. Yeah, your AMD will definitely bottleneck the 670. However, if you get an i5-3570k, you will need a new motherboard also; I recommend this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293

How much RAM do you have?
  8. 4GB, but I am upgrading to 12 :)
  9. You don't need 12, 8 is more than enough for gaming.
  10. Strangely, I already have that! XD :D
  11. Great!
