Hey guys, I wanted your opinion on a CPU upgrade or more suggestions.
I have 2 PC's at the moment. One of them is fairly new with i7 processor and a 7970.
2nd one is old which needs a little upgrades here and there. (Its working perfectly fine and i dont want to throw it away)
Specs.
AMD Phenom x3 8450 @2.1Ghz
Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H
2x 1GB Ram 1066 (Running at Unganged, shows that my ram is 800Mhz even if i remove the 800mhz one)
1x 2GB Ram 1066 (Running at Unganged, shows that my ram is 800Mhz even if i remove the 800mhz one)
1x 2GB Ram 800 (Running at Unganged, shows that my ram is 800Mhz even if i remove the 800mhz one)
Epsilon 600w PSU
1x 250GB 7200rpm
3x 500GB 7200rpm
1x 1TB 7200rpm
Gigabyte HD7850oc @975/1200 (got it a few days ago)
Basically someone said something about bottle of the neck and ocean of the beach...... I'm guessing they mean my processor is crap to my vga.
I wouldn't want to spend much, as it already runs games at max, just with a few lags here and there if im running other software at background.
I'm also buying a new 3rd PC for friends who come over to my place to join up in games. I would need a cheap solution for that too. hopefully I wouldnt want to spend over 600.
I found a gigabyte G-Power II GH-PSU23-PB in my house (god knows when i bought that) still in the box and I could install it on the Phenom x3 and give it a good old OC. (if you think it would help). Tried unlocking the 4th core on the Phenom X3 but my motherboard does not have the option to unlock.
I know I'm asking too much, just take your time to answer or suggest.
