Hey guys. Would Skyrim or Grand Theft Auto IV work on ultra high if I had 8gb of RAM, this i5: Intel BX80637I53450 i5-3450 LGA1155 IVY Bridge Boxed CPU and the AMD Radeon HD 7770? I already have the RAM but I need the GPU and CPU. (Also a new power supply.) Thanks :)

If you are running a 1440x900 monitor or less, yes. Maybe 1680x1050 with some eye candy turned off. The frame rates you can achieve with any card are dependent upon what resolution you game at.

I'm not sure entirely if the 7770 can run on ultra high settings, however you may want to look at the HD6770. In terms of power supply just get a trusted brand and look for 80+certified.

It also depends on what fps you are comfortable with. Back before my new build, I ran Skyrim at (mostly) ultra settings at 1920x1080 on an HD 5770. Occasionally I would get down into the 30s, but it was totally playable.

I've never messed with GTA IV on PC myself, but I've heard it is incredibly poorly optimized, so your performance might suck no matter what hardware you have.

But at 1366x768 I imagine a 7770 would probably handle almost any game close to maxed out, since my 5770 did surprisingly well at 1920x1080.
