Hello,
I am looking for which processor to get, the i7 3770K or the 3930K? Now, I know this is a really weird question but I could really use the feedback.

It depends on the purpose. The Sandy Bridge-E is great for 3D rendering, video encoding, financial modelling, scientific modelling Basically any app that can make use of 6 cores.

If this is merely for playing games then just drop down to an i5-3570k since games do not use Hyper Threading.

Well, 3930k can do anything 3770k can do but with better performance. 3770k has more than enough power for any daily tasks, etc. Gaming, video editing, 3D rendering, heavy multitasking. For pure gaming purposes, as jaguarskx said, get the i5.

Crysis 3 does use HT so much :/
Also Sli/CF goes long way better with HT on...
