Ok, so mI want to build my first gaming computer, but I have no idea what to look for!

I'm after something that will run anything from Minecraft to Crysis on full graphics

what I've had suggested:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77-UD3H
Memory: Crucial Ballistix 8GB 1333HMz DDR3
Case: Corsair Vengeace C70
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Graphics: Saphire Radeon HD7850
Power Supply: Corsair AX750
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-222AB
Heat sink: Stock
Keyboard and mouse: n/a

Total: £822

Is this a good system? or is there any better setup someone can suggest for similar money

Preferably I'd rather have a NZXT Phantom White Full Tower Case to replace the one suggested. Will the setup fit it ok? and if it's not too much to upgrade I'd like a Blu Ray optical drive also

Thanks from Lewis

don't buy a k series cpu if you aren't going to overclock it. If you do plan on it, buy an aftermarket cpu cooler that is compatible with your setup. Other than that, everything looks pretty good.

1: id get a hyper 212 evo for cooling if you need overclocking
2:id get 1600mhz memory. go to scan and see if they have some corsair LP 1600mhz cl9 2x4gb memory for 29.99. otherwise, get gskill ripjaw x 2x4gb 1600mhz
3:just get a 1tb. i doubt you need that much storage
4:id get something like a samsung 830 128gb SSD from scan for 80 pounds.it will greatly increase your system speed
5:just get a good power supply like a xfx xxx 750. its made by seasonic (makes corsair units as well), 80+ silver,. modular, and is 96 pounds at overclockers
6:id get a nice case like a antec 302, fractal define r4, fractal core 3000. if you like the phantom, get the phantom 410 as it is identical but just smaller. you wont need the extra space

Hi, thank you for this! came in cheaper than I was expecting, I still think I'm going to go for the NZXT case because I think it looks nicer but this was helpful. Thanks!

Why would you match up an extreme4 with a 550w psu when you can get a board meant for a single card set up for cheaper.
