i have a leadtek winfast geforce 3 and yesterday i successfully overclocked it to 251/500 and got a score of 7126 from 6598 in 3d mark 2001. The only problem is that i'm scared to damage the card this way. I was wondering if there is any way to add an extra fan on top of the existing one on the gpu or facilitate some other means of cooling. Please give some suggestions, all i have come up wiht is one of those pci slot fans but it won't fit in the space between my video card and the next pci card.......oh and is being able to oc to that frequency normal, it seems that everywhere i read about this card that people have oced it to 230 successfully, so how didi get it to 251? Well when i put it to 264 my 3d mark froze and when it was at 300 it froze while changing, it's now back at default clock speeds and is running fine.

what do u ned to overclock it?
it wont show any performance change in games as the FPS needed for smooth display are easily reeched by the card..other then a nice 3dmark score u get squat..

unless u found some really needy game u want to tell us about then i think u should use the defoult clock rate.

If you're scared you're gonna wax the card, then you shouldn't be overclocking in the first place...

Other than that, you can put as many fans blowing all different directions that you want. If you're looking for a 'ready-made' commercial product, there's a couple that use two 120x25 fans blowing on all the pci and agp cards.
