Looking to upgrade my PC to play gw2

Hello,

I currently run GW2 at 20-30 fps which is playable, but once I enter WvW with a high amount of people my fps just dies and drops to 5-10. So im looking to upgrade my PC to play the game with higher fps.

Specs:

i5 760 2.8GHz
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB
8GB DDR3 Ram

If anyone could suggest what I should upgrade first and give me some suggestions it would be appreciated, thanks.

Graphics card first. I would suggest something like a 7850, but it really depends on your budget.

upgrade gpu. Yes what ss202sl said. I suggest GTX660 which will give you more than double performance. But the price of that is $300~ depends where u buy and deals. I heard there was a deal for $250

Swap your HD5770 out for a Radeon HD7950. Then invest in a CPU cooler to OC your i5, that should give you a very nice upgrade

The Radeon HD7950>GTX660 Ti due to the performance the HD7950 can achieve at a $300 price point. Also, the crippled memory bandwidth may alter the GTX660 Ti's performance if you're an Eye-candy person.

for 400 i would try to grab one of the ghz edition 7970s cant beat it for the dropped price.
