I was wondering if there are any LCD's that can compare to a good crt. I need something like 18-20" that I will use for graphic design, so color is very important. I would also like to get one that can tilt to work vertically.

please advise

maybe there really isn't a replacement over crt so I should probably get the highly reviewed Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2060u ?

currently I have a sony g500 but im experiencing problems with it

TIA

check this link why CRTs are better then LCDs for graphic design. http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,3973,985158,00.asp

Crap on that. CRTs are very much DEAD junk. I wouldn't even think about wasting my money on a CRT if I was buying new.

I'm a graphic designer and web developer and know color is important but I don't think the differences are that great between LCD and CRT. I was at CompUSA the other day and the LCDs looked just as good. They had them side-by-side. Bright, full of contrast, slim designs....I was drooling. Go with LCD. But I'm waiting a few more months to hopefully get a <20ms model...if they'll even be out by then????

Well, facts are facts. Try the link. In our graphics design department, no one wants to use a LCD, except the secretary.

Once LCDS can match the quality and price then I will buy one.

Take a closer look is all I can say. At work my 18.1" FP1800 looks great cause all I do is program, try doing some photo editing or something and wham, it's not so great.

All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening.
