MSI GTX 560 Ti 448 core throttling for some reason?

So i restarted my computer the other day and noticed that my framerates were very sluttery and inconsistant. i ran furmark and it reports that my gpu clock is throttling at around 300 to 180 instead of the intended 750. i tried things like restarting and changing graphics drivers but it didn't help in the slightest. i even tried overclocking but that just made it a constant throttle instead of once every .5 seconds.

it tops out at 68 degrees after running for an hour.

tried doing a system restore, nothing works.

i am at my wits end, i can't solve this issue. so close to just throwing this computer out the window.

Furmark will cause your card to throttle. Try a game or Unigine Heaven benchmark. If the problem exists outside of Furmark, then update to the 304.79 drivers with the clean install option.
