Upgrading Laptop CPU - I5-520M

hi i'm kinda new to laptop hardwares, so is it possible to upgrade I5-520M 2.4 GHz on my laptop to a newer processor? i'm looking for about 50%-100% performance boost can anyone help me with the CPU?
any question for specs or anything will be welcomed since i don't know what information i should provide for this question other than the CPU type

The i7 620m and 640m and i5 580m 560m and 540m are slightly better. I5 520m is a very fast cpu, no point upgrading it. Don't downgrade it to the old 45nm i7 720qm junk that takes 30w more for 5% extra performance multi threaded. Also you can't upgrade it to a newer series cpu as it is not compatible.
