Computer restarting when playing video games

I built this computer about 6 months ago. Everything runs fine I can surf the internet, listen to music, watch videos with no issues and it is left on almost 24 hours a day. There are no issues until I try to play a game then it will either restart immediately after launching the game of within 1 minute of playing time. The only time it works without issues is when i reset the CMOS. I don't think it is a overheating issue because I ran speedfan and nothing was running hot

  1. I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a bad power supply. Perhaps you can swap yours out with a friend's and see if that fixes it.
    Best of luck.
