I am thinging about a change from my Nikon D100 to the D2x. I thing a lot
of D100-User are here in this group, which changed meanwhile to the D2x, so
which are you experiences? As the D2x is not cheap: is it worth to buy one
or did you regret that you changed?

I changed from Canon 20D and 1D to Nikon D2X. Today I sold one of my
20Ds and the rest will go as soon as the second D2X arrives. For me,
shooting weddings and formals, the Nikon is much better. Images I
enlarge for other photographers using D100 are not as good as the D2X
images for shadow detail and general contrast range. Hope this helps.

What are you shooting ? and what was your main problem when using the D100
to make your image ?
Anyway whatever the answer, you will not regret blowing your savings on a
D2x Its a camera ready for action the moment you turn it on.

suppose you could say that about most if not all camera's.i personally think its overated!and believe one could capture as good if
not better image with a canon eos 350d.the camera body may represent one aspect but i'm sure the final image all depends on the
glass used"rgds to all from TBM...

Yes, the D2x is worth it. However, one thing I found out fairly
quickly is that obtaining the highest quality images requires a good
lens, good technique, and good light. Because of its higher
resolution, the D2x is much more demanding in this area. You might
discover that your existing lenses aren't up to the task. However,
get these things right and you'll get sparkling results!
