Ok, so im out to buy a new laptop which i will primarily use for "Gaming"...

Primary Reason :
Gaming

Secondary Reason:
We browsing, Mails, Facebook, MS Office (Word, Excel,Outlook), etc

Budget : $700-$800

CPU:
AMD A-10 APU 4600m (2.3 GHz With Turbo Core Technology Upto 3.2 GHz) vs Intel Core i5 3210M (2.5 GHz With Turbo Boost Upto 3.1 GHz)

GPU : AMD - 512 MB AMD Radeon HD 7660G (Integrated) and 2 GB ATI Mobility Radeon 7670M HD Graphics (Dedicated)
Intel - 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 620M (Optimus)

RAM : AMD - 6GB
Intel - 4GB

Which would suit my needs better? The above config cost's me $712 for both the AMD and Intel Laptop.

Appreciate your time and input.

Thanks

In this case the APU eould be better. Though it has a weaker CPU core it is paired with a better mobile graphics chip. The GTX 620M is not for gaming it is a really low end graphics chip. Now if the I5 was paired with two GTX 670M's or 680M's that would be a different story but again given the specs the APU is better.
