Hello
My specs-
Core I7 3770k processor
ASRock z77 extreme 4 motherboard
Nvidia gt 610 syenergy edition gddr3 2gb graphics card
Corsair vengeance 2x4gb ram
Cooler Master CM 690 2 plus cabinet
A Phillips monitor whose model I don't know (lcd)
Creative speakers and woofer whose model I also don't know!
Seagate baracuda 1TB HDD
HP dvd1260i DVD Burner Internal Optical Drive (black)
Please recommend me a power supply unit for my boils. My future wishes-
I will purchase a high end liquid cooler.
Some more fans (about 3 high end)
Nvidia gtx 690 graphics card (dual with my current low end)
I will also overclock my processor to 4.5GHz.
So my new PSU should be able to run all these future requirements as well as present.
My budget is around 8000rupees.

Corsair TX650M is also a good choice. This one is even modular (although only semi-modular)

He mentioned SLI with a GTX 690 and also a big OC, so a minimum of 750 and a 850 W to be on the safer side is required. If you are going for 80+ silver/gold then 750 would be enough, else go for 850. I recommend Corsair PSU's for their reliability, customer support and a Hefty 3/5 year warranty. 80+bronze/silver/gold are recommended for efficiency and low power consumption..I recommend HX/AX series. I bought a Corsair AX 850 recently for 9500 rupees, gotta buy another 5850 to CF and a new mobo to OC :D

Haha, yeah, thought he had a GTX 690 and another one to buy lol, @ OP, you cant basically SLI two different total series graphic cards, you gotta buy the same series for SLI

Since,yours a low end GPU, 750W or 650W with 80+bronze/silver would be more than enough.(for 2 610's)

@all of you thankyou.
Your options are great.
Ok. So I will dump my current graphics card in future when I purchase gtx 690.
So which psu should I go with (still confused, you all gave so much different options).
How about corsair tx650m?

@hitme987

Anandtech did their review on the 690 with an i7-3960X at 4.3GHz (this CPU is more power hungry than a 3770K) and the total system power consumption under load is less than 500W. I'm not saying going for 700 to 800W unit is a bad purchase, I'm just saying that 650W is definitely enough for an OCed 3770K and a single GTX690. I stand by my recommendation, a tx650m.

TX 650M would be fine for 1 GTX 690(with extreme CPU and GPU OC). For Dual GTX 690 SLI, you would probably need about 850, preferably Corsair HX/AX series. Also, you can calculate your wattage from this page, give your specs and it will give recommendations :

Hmm..I thought he was gonna go for SLI 2 GTX 690 and gave 750/850. I gave the same recommendation for 1 GTX 690 previous reply (secs after yours). TX650M is more than enough..

I read your first post and found out that you did think he was going to go 2 GTX690s. If that really was the case, he'll really need something like an 850W+ unit (like you recommended) just to be on the safe side.

Although I guess most people should already know that quad SLI/crossfire is very impractical and doesn't really show impressive scaling. It's mostly for benchmarks, world records and/or bragging rights.

Yeah I agree with you.
Lol what a misunderstanding. I wish it was true!

So...
Should I go for tx650m?

Yeah, go for TX650M. Btw why go for 690? 2xSLI 680 is cheaper and they perform better..

Yeah I know but problem is my parents won't give me that much money to buy two, nor they will allow me to buy more parts after a certain limit related to computer.
So I can only go for one.
And so I will go for gtx 690.

I don't get this statement. Your parents wont give you enough money for 2 gtx 680's but you want to buy a 1000 dollar gtx 690? :pt1cable:

Well, its a monster card. If you can spend, go for it! Its like you dont need to upgrade your gig for like 10 years. Also, for liquid cooler, go for Corsair H100i, the best in the market. Kraken X60 is a better one, if you can find it..
