Radeon HD 6950 bios brick

hey, my friend has a radeon hd 6950 asus direct cu ii card, and he managed to brick both bios, and gave it to me to try to fix.

I tried to put the card in along with my 5670 in a spare slot so i could boot, but it BSOD on windows boot, I tried flipping the bios switch and everything, how do I restore the bios?

  1. You could try to boot with a DOS disk, there are tools for that. Maybe this will help you: http://www.techpowerup.com/printarticle.php?id=34
  2. You will have to place your 5670 in the primary PCIe x16 graphics card slot and the 6950 in the secondary PCIe x16 slot.

Since the Radeon HS 6950 is inoperable you cannot place it in the primary PCIe graphics card slot and expect Windows to boot from it.
