Thinking about buying a couple of Trendnet TPL-303E2K, only to connect a printer to my computer in a separate room.

I have an HP z3100 44" wide-format photo printer (i.e. large print files 50mb-500mb). So, wireless not such a great option. I have always printed to it directly via Ethernet cable hooked directly to my computer.

Question: If I want to have my computer in a different room, can I connect my computer to my printer DIRECTLY (no router) with two tpl-303e2k? Meaning no router. Just one tpl-303e2k plugged connected to my computer and plugged into an outlet in one room, and another tpl-303e2k connected to my printer and plugged into an outlet in another room.

Don't want to share the printer with any other computers or devices. Is this possible, or is a router required for some reason?
