Upgrading RAM and CPU

So, basically I have a Acer F690GVM mobo with AMD Phenom 9500 and I was thinking about upgrading my CPU and RAM, so I was wondering if my mobo supports am3 or am3+ sockets because mine is am2... I could upgrade it but if I can get away without upgrading it it would be nice I bought a GTX 550Ti and my CPU seems to bottleneck it a bit.

Likely you will need a bios update but as it says above their chips are backwards compatible.
