I'm building a custom pc and don't really know what CPU is best. I want an intel core series but I don't really know which one. I will be playing games but not much and I will be multi tasking a lot. But no multitasking and gaming at the same time. I also want to be able toultitask and still have everything run fast. So wants the best INTEL cpu for my needs. Oh and cheapest

What kind of multitasking? Video and audio encoding/rendering or photoshop? If your not doing tasks that will utilize the hyperthreading benefit of an i7, you should go with i5 Ivybridge. The i5 3470 would be okay, if you want to overclock in the future, I suggest the 3570k (and a different motherboard, like a GA-Z77X-UD3H).

Also, do you need help with a graphics card? HD 4000 graphics aren't any good for nice gaming quality.
