my 6870 at 1440x900 maxes everything but visibility and in the games bench i think i got 40fps, so yea a 7870 will do good in 1080p, and go with thebig troll's parts, wayyyyyyy better ssd for the price.
The bottleneck will be the graphics card, but it's still a nice graphics card. Take your time and TWEAK the game settings, if needed, to ensure a high frame rate. I usually do this:
1. run the game with VSYNC disabled
2. tweak the settings until I achieve 60FPS, or higher at least 90% of the time
3. enable VSYNC again
This is an awesome tool. I used it to force Anti-Aliasing and/or VSYNC on games that didn't support it.
For example, you would force 8xAA with Super-Sampling for Mass Effect 1 and 2 with your setup. The difference is amazing! (most games are fine with normal AA, but Mass Effect really needed Super-Sampling and your rig handles that no problem.)
