hmmm lol my tower is making a high pitch sound... it only stops when i touch any area of it but after a second it starts up again.

Anyone have a clue?

check to make sure your outlet is grounded properly and all of your fans are still working fine. Also make sure nothing is rubbing on the fans. Where does it sound like it's coming from?

Make sure everything is assembled securely. It could simply be something resonating through the case.

hmmm i think it is either the hard drive cooler or the maxtor drive... the ibm drive (where the cooler is attached to) is fine.

Maybe your CD drive actually. My old 52x sounded like that. My new just sounds like a plane taking off:)
