hi i am looking to build a pc i want a relatively good system that performs well and does play games on highest settings would be nice :)

so originally i was thinking intel i7 3930k
and intel dx79sr motherboard
but in truth they are just simply out of my price range really.

so im looking at a few amd processors:

AMD HDZ965FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 965 - 3.4 Ghz AM3 Black Edition CPU
or
AMD Bulldozer FX-6100 Socket AM3+ 6 Core Processor - 3.30GHz, 3.90GHz Turbo

and maybe this motherboard:

Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard (Socket AM3+, Up to 16GB DDR3, USB 3.0, uATX)

and 16GB of this RAM:

Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 4GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory

and this graphics card or two?? or something else not sure. suggestions???

Sapphire 11179-09-20G HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

so my questions are:

are all these compatible?
will they be any good together?
suggestions for graphics cards?
any other advice would be apreciated

err as cheap as possible lol but will probably buy it piece at a time
i have my current pc which i can scavenge things from like the HDD and dvd drive and graphics card to begin with.
i am also running two monitors and would like to keep this and maybe upgrade to three monitors if possible
i will need to buy a copy of windows 7

For the cpu and mobo I'd go with the new i3 3220 and asrock z77 pro3. That way you could upgrade to a i5 3570k later if you wanted but you'll probably be ok with the i3 for a while cpu aren't that important in gaming the gpu is way more important. You don't need 16gb of ram for gaming 8gb is more than enough and get the low profile corsair vengeance or g.skill ares 8gb. Now for the gpu I'd spend an extra $40 and get a hd 7850 or a little more and get the 7870. You said you could scavenge from your current pc a graphics card so does that mean you have a hd 6870 already? If you do just get a second one and 750w psu.
