Build will be used for gaming. My budget is 1500 USD (don't mind going higher/lower). I need everything including a monitor and os. I plan to order everything by Friday,so I just wanted to make sure everything looked alright!

CPU: Intel i5 2500k Processor $159.99

CPU Cooler: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO $34.99

Motherboard+OS: AsRock z77 Extreme4+ Windows 7 64-bit $199.99

Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 8gb $47.99

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1tb $109.99

SSD: Samsung 830 Series 128gb $99.99

Video Card: MSI 670 PE $409.99

PSU: CORSAIR HX750 $144.99

Case: NZXT Phantom 410 $99.99

Optical Drive: LG $18.99

Monitor: Asus VS238H-P 23" $169.99

Total: $1533.55 (including tax+shipment..before rebates)

Also, was wondering if a 750W psu would be too much if id only be overclocking (not planning on SLI/Crossfire)? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

you might want to list which games you plan to play in this rig so others can help you better. Overall, looks to be a more than decent build. nice to have your budget for my build :D

I'd go with the i5 3570k but that is a great price for that i5 2500k. You did say you didn't mind paying more and the i5 3570k is better. You should get the low profile corsair vengeance 8gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233186 and 750w is overkill if you don't plan on sli in the future. Here are some good psu you could go with pc power and cooling silencer mk iii 600w http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703036 or xfx core edition pro550w http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013

Isn't the only difference between the 2500k and 3570k that that it supports pci 3.0? I was curious if the difference between them were worth the extra money? Ill probably end up getting it though since ill be saving on the psu. I don't ever plan to sli so ill go with one of the ones you suggested and I was worried about the ram being too tall so i decided on that right after i posted! Thanks for the fast responses everyone!
