Hi, I am looking at seeing if it is worth upgrading my entire rig or just the GPU to get more FPS. I really only use the PC for minor gaming (Diablo 3 / Guild Wars 2) and web browsing, torrents etc. - No video editing etc.

Was maybe looking at the 6670 for fifty bucks.

2.20 gigahertz AMD Phenom X4 Quad-Core GP
ASUSTeK Computer INC. M2N-MX SE Plus Rev
4GB DDR2 Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
Thermaltake 430w PSU

15FPS on low settings, is it just the old outdated GPU (from 2007) or is the CPU letting me down too?

I'll blame the GPU.

Probably so. Worth the upgrade to a Raedon 6670 or a new budget PC Rig?

Something like a 6670 or 7750 would make sense. Better cards would be somewhat wasted, because then your CPU would probably begin to hold you back.

Figured. Looks like ill snap up the 6670. For $59 i guess it'll be a big improvement anyways
