Additional Comment : Its my 1st time to actually build a real gaming rig as well as my workstation (for minor typing works).. Now I need some advice on my build, my target is a descent gaming system..

Question : with similar prince range as on my mobo the ASrock Z77 Extreme 6 is there any other options? as also Iam looking for a stable mobo for overclocking. Preferable Asus or Gigabyte beside ASrock ...dont get me wrong is just that the warranty for other brands like (MSI, EVGA, ECS etc) will be time consuming as the other brands are consider as a small player in my country. Here we can purchase those high end flagship mobo's just that the warranty would be a problem "if" u encounter problem. For the CPU for light photo editing does i5 will do an outstanding performance?

Your advice is highly appreciated, this is my 1st post I've been following the forum for the past 4 month before deciding to build my rig.

Yea a budget and a website that you'll likely to buy from or could buy from to give us an idea of prices in malaysia would help.

Whether there are alternate mobo's to that will depend on what supplies like in your country.

An i5 will be absolutely fine for photo editing.

The local IT shop wont display their prices on the web but i can give u the round figure for that.

Using the current exchange rate (USD/MYR) 1USD = 3.1 MYR

MOBO : ASrock Z77 Extreme 6 = $209 USD

CPU : i7 3770k or i5 3570k (for i7 = $358 USD for i5 = $242 USD)

GPU : Asus GTX 670 Direct CU II TOP = $467 USD

Storage 1: Intel 330 120GB SSD = $106 USD

Storage 2: 1TB Seagate Barracuda (7200RPM)

RAM : Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1866mhz (2x4GB) = $80 USD

Cooling Kit : Corsair H100 = $140 USD

PSU : Corsair TX750 = $140 USD

Case : Corsair 300R = $93 USD

All of the prices are after discount....since i5 works well so I change to i5 then ^^,

My budget is around $1500 also a similar price tag with ASrock Z77 Extreme 6 is the Asus P8Z77-V ... but from previous benchmark I saw on the net is not that impressive... even ASrock Z77 E6 have stability issues if overclock exceed @4.9ghz on and i7 3770k ... but with that budget I wan to get the most out of it.

Yea I know, but i would be troublesome for the warranty....expansive yes I agree ....I would say its overpriced...most item sold here at my place are from low end to mid range ..so getting high end mid range would drain your pocket... btw if in Singapore any specific web site which provide international shipment?
