I'm having a problem getting my laptop to recognize the memory stick.
It was working and now isn't. Every time I insert the MS Duo into the
adapter and then into my built in reader, I get the "XP Sound"
indicating that it has been plugged in but it does not show up in
explorer. It's strange because every other memory stick I have works
and shows up. I have also inserted the Duo (with adapter) into other
computers and it works fine.
I have tried changing the drive letter but to no avail.

I got something similar to this. I ran a full format on the stick and then
put it into the machine - which chose an entirely fifferent drive number to
assign to it. At least it works now.

I had something like this. It only happened when I had another reader
(like a card reader) plugged in at the same time. Apparently the
resources for the first reader were steppign on the resources needed
for the second reader.
Any chance you have more than one USB device plugged in? (assuming that
it's a USB reader) If so, try unplugging all other USB devices.
Max.
