If I get a different brand of graphics card when I upgrade my pc. Do I have to uninstall the drivers for the card I am taking out? If so what is the easiest way to do that ?
I have a 1GB DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 6450 graphics card in my pc that will be replaced very soon.
This is my pc setup.
460 watt power supply
HP Pavilion Elite HPE-580t Desktop PC
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-950 quad-core
9GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM
1.5TB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive from 750GB
You should uninstall the drivers to prevent any issues you are having. Uninstall through Windows Installer, then use Driver Sweeper to sweep the rest of the driver parts around your PC. You can then use a registry cleaner if you prefer, though that is completely optional. Then clean install your new graphics card driver.
