I always thought that the I5-3570k was faster than the bulldozer
everyone thought that... some benchmarks even proved it, such as Battlefield 3 and Crysis,
But then the TekSyndicate released this video and I thought I would share it with everyone, because its.... well..... suprising! the Bulldozer-8350 is faster in most cases and cheaper than the 3570k

Just watch it, before judging...

For less than half the money it shouldn't win at anything...much less destroy the i7-3770k at all the CPU load heavy games that require heavy rendering.

That benchmark was GPU-bound.. a more objective test would be with a better GPU to isolate any potential bottlenecks at the GPU level. But anyway, if you intend to get a 7870, then yes, the 8350 is going to be better based on this review.

Arrrrgh... i7 3770is NOT for games. It gives you like 1% advantage over i5. Its more for graphics designers, photoshop editers and video editers!

Dumb benchmark.

they should have used a 680 or 7970 to eliminate any possible GPU bottleneck. However I do agree the FX-8350 is a very capable processor and is a great choice for anyone needing AMD's extra SATA Capability/PCIe lanes or fully modular 8 cores.

Yeah, try testing with Skyrim and then come make a post. Does the 8350 get destroyed by the 3570k so much that they have to put all of the games AMD does well at and make a video. Come on now, everyone knows(read Tom's Hardware's benchmarks(The REAL benchmarks)) that the 3570k is superior when it comes to gaming and this video shouldn't prove anything to anyone. Anybody who knows anything about CPU's, knows that an i5 3570k is better for gaming and pretty much everything else. Let's get real.

And I'm not just some Intel guy. I really like AMD's stuff. I love the FX6300's 129.99 price and I'd get that processor over any other Intel alternative. But if your gonna spend 200 bucks, get the 3570k. Per core, the 3570k is the fastest CPU on the market and the 8350 can't even compete on a per core basis. And so many apps only use one core, that's why AMD needs to start making some drastic IPC improvements. Maybe the 8350 wins on SOME multithreaded benchmarks but even then it doesn't win most of them. For the money(200$) you can't find a better CPU than a 3570k unless all you do 100% of the time is video editing. Then it may be a tad bit better.

What about an FX-8350 for $169.99 like you can buy it for on AMD's website...? Still think a i5-3570k is better? Not for ~$70 it isn't...and even then...there are only a FEW games where the i5-3570k is ANY better...other than Skyrim, you can't name one where it is much better at anything...and Metro 2033...which is one of the benchmarks where the intel is supposed to shine...this benchmark shows that the AMD kills it there...in 1080p and 1440p resolution....care to explain?

The Graphics card is also not an issue as he re ran the test to silence the intel nuts with a GTX 670 and had similar results...the video for that should be up soon...
