THE RIGHT PC FOR DESK TOP PUBLISHING

So for I have been using an Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB Ram and an N Vida 500 MB Graphics card.

I wish to upgrade and was wondering if an AMD Phenom Core II Black or an Intel i5 would serve my purposes better.

Any suggestions??
