I am posting this as there doesn't seem to be any answers for this
particular problem on the internet or usenet.

If you are trying to synchronize your contacts/calendar with PC Suite
and you are running Outlook 2003 and Windows XP Service Pack 2, then
you will get an error message when trying to synchronize that says
"failed to open outlook".

After talking to technical support it appears that this is an issue
with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and PC Suite doesn't support this.

Just thought other people might like to know this.

Nokia plan on releasing an update to the nokia PC suite at some stage
that is compatible with SP2, but we'll just have to wait and see.

We can suggest to have a look at Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian
OS phones ( http://www.opm-2.com/symbian/ ). Such problems don't occur
with our software. Our program supports phonebook, calendar, images
and tones synchronization, message downloads and SMS sending. You can
connect your phone by bluetooth or infrared.

You can download the latest free trial version and see program
screenshots here: http://www.opm-2.com/symbian/

Pack 2:

If you have any questions and/or suggestions, concerning our
program, feel free to post them on our official forum

Yes, I am trying to synchronize this against an exchange mailbox.

It was working before SP2, albeit with the little "do you want to
allow access to Microsoft Outlook" window every time you synced.

Are you guys who ARE getting it working, using Mrouter beta 3? If so,
where can I get this from to give it a try?

I tried to get the Oxygen phone manager to work, but it wouldn't work
either.

Nokia Tech support have admitted that it is a problem with the current
version of PC Data Suite and SP2. So unless mrouter 3 works, I'll
just have to wait until they release an update.

I have Outlook 2003 and XP SP2 and PC suite works fine. Every time I run
the synchro process a window opens and asks me if I want the program to
access the outlook data.
