Hello everyone ! :D

I am going to sell my PS3 and work a bit and get some extra money for upgrade to my PC , but I have really little problem with my video cards ;P

I really dont know which card to get :
GTX 560TI ASUS DIRECT CU II - it cost 240 $
XFX (or any other brand ;P ) HD 7870 - It cost something like 320 $
Or , I should add tons of money to get the GTX 670 EVGA Signature , which cost 400 $
Or maybe the most high card at the market , Or the HD 7970 Dual X cooler or the GTX 680 :p

So , which card is the best bang for my money ? which card will have great FPS in games ?
what card I should get ? I really want more than 45 FPS in Battlefield 3 on Ultra 1920*1080P , and of course on all other games ;D

Specs -
AMD PHENOM II X4 840 3.2 GHZ
Gigabyte 880GM US2H
and I will get also with my card 8 GB1600MHZ RAM , and 750W CORSAIR TX PSU . :)

Thank you all ! :)

Solution
Sorry man I can't read today (time for a coffee i think lol). Trying to work out what money you have left over so we have a ball park figure specifically for your GPU.

Sorry for being a tard.

But why the HD 7970 ? Its really worth the price ? there is really much better fps in the games ?

Thanks for the answer tho ! :D

I can wait :)
But I can overclock the HD 7970 for much better than the 670 .. so ; \

New custom 7970 is on par with 680 (from some sapphire toxic review, i read. edit: that thing is monster running at 1.2 Ghz), since the recent amd price cut it hard to ignore...

Back to topic please write about your whole system, especially your PSU...

We do need the rest of your specs buddy but the 560 ti is probably a non starter unless you get the 2GB model, especially for Battlefield (resolution depending). I run out of vram before I can max it out especially in multiplayer. Still looks great but not max.

and I will edit the topic right now ^_^

Thanks for the answer , but im not going to get the toxic edition since it cost too much .

CaptainWoopy what CPU and PSU do you have and what budget do you have available as we can all throw graphic cards at you but if either of these components are not up to it then it is a waste of time. If you have a weak CPU then no matter what you put in your computer it will be bottlenecked and you won't get the 45+ fps in Battlefield you crave. If your PSU isn't very powerful or a cheap generic brand or not enough amps on 12v rail it makes this discussion irrelevant. You have mentioned that certain cards are too expensive yet mentioned a 680 in you opening post so how much do you have / want to spend.

Lets take a step back and get the whole picture and then offer advice rather turning the thread into a list of links to benchmarks that ultimately may be irrelevant.

So , I need also to change my CPU ?
My CPU will do bottleneck with the card ? ;\
I have only 1000$ ~ to spend , cant go higer then 1050 $ ..
and I said what are my specs at the topic :) Anyways , right now I have AMD PHENOM 840 IIX4 , Gigabyte 880GM UD2H , 500W PSU and 4GB 1333 MHZ .
But , I want to buy with my vew video card also 750W TX CORSAIR PSU , 8GB 1600MHZ CORSAIR VENGACE , and maybe 180GB SSD of Corsair 180gb :)

Cheers dude. Sorry when I wrote that it wasn't showing in the original post. Your CPU should be fine and the PSU you are looking to buy is a good one so that concern is out of the way. Out of the $1000 are these other components being bought or is that money solely for your GPU?

Thats okay mate ! you really helped me today !!!
Im happy to hear that my CPU is fine , if it will do bottleneck I will save a bit more and get 3570K and another MOBO later :)
and all the 1000 is for the GPU + all other components :)

Thats not a bad system at all that devilofdeaths has put together for you. Personally I would go with a 670 instead of the 7950 but that is mainly due to being a lot more familiar with Nvidia components (haven't had an AMD since x1950 pro ).

Still under budget but $50 more than above spec. Its a personal choice of what you feel more comfortable with.

See Battlefield 3 benchmark below :

Hope that helps
