I just bought 27" syncmaster S950D, I have 2 GTX 560 ti's SLI'd. I just don't get it why it won't get pass 120hz on 1080. I am using the DVI cable of my old monitor which only has 60hz. I try using 1080p @ 119.95hz on battlefield 3 but when I use turn vsync on it only limits to 60fps. please help me. Thank you.

Well if you turn V-Sync on, of course its going to limit to 60 fps. Thats what V-sync is. It limits the fps to 60 so that the fps is not higher than the refresh rate so there is no screen tearing. Either dont use V-sync, or, if yo happen to have a z77 board, use lucid virtu MVP.

Ah ok, my mistake. My previous statement was false. I have only hear v-sync talked about in the context of 60hz monitors, thus built the assumption that it always limited the fps to 60. V-sync locks the frames per second to the refresh rate of the screen. So that was not the problem the OP had.
