Nvidia Geforce GTS 450

Hey again, I'm in the UK and I'm looking at the GTS 450 and I wonder how many slots it will take in my motherboard. Also, does it require a 6 pin connector from the power supply?

GTS 450:

Since my case is a Mini Tower, will it also fit because I'm not sure of the size of the GTS 450.

  1. It looks like either of those cards would take 2 slots up (PCI Express and the one directly below)
Secondly it should require a 6 pin power connector. If your power supply doesn't have that, you could order a "2x4 pin to 6 pin" adapter like this:

(dont know anything about this website, just reference the image)

Third, yes it should fit in your case just fine. Its not a very long card from the looks of it
  2. i take it back, the asus would only take up one slot, just looked at it a bit closer
  3. What about the Gigabyte one? How many slots will that take?
  4. it would take 2
  5. Why would the Gigabyte one take 2 slots when the Asus would only take 1 slot?
  6. The ASUS one is single slot, look at the photos.
  7. Do you have the power supply for this?
  8. No, but I am planning to also get a new one. It's an OCZ 500w CorexStream.

Also what is better? That ASUS GTS 450 or a Sapphire Radeon 6670 1GB GDDR5?

Will any of those cards run good at 1920x1080 resolution?

    Sapphire Radeon 6670: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11192-12-20G-HD6670-Graphics-GDDR5/dp/B005G4XC5K/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1342769092&sr=8-4

^How many PCI-e x16 slots will that take up?
