Graphics Card Upgrade

Hi,

My desktop is Acer Aspire M1640 (a very old computer) and the graphics card contained inside is nVIDIA GeForce 7050. Can I upgrade to nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260? Is it compatible?

I don't thing that your power supply would be able to power up the 260. You should upgrade your psu if you would like to upgrade your gpu

you should pull the side and measure how big a card you can put in and whether or not you can put a single slot card or is there enough room for a double slot wide card.

i wouldn't waste my time on a 260. you can get something that's faster and uses less power and runs cooler.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know any graphics cards that have similar specs to GeForce GTX 260 or GeForce 7800 and can run along with the 250W power supply? I am trying to limit the cost of upgrading my computer.....
