Can a wireless router be last in line?

I'm dealing with a goofy set up, and I'm trying to figure out if it will work.

(PC 1)------(Hub 1)--------(Hub 2)--------(Wireless Router)-------(Wireless Devices 6)

The internet will be plugged into Hub 1.

Three computers will be plugged into Hub 1, and four computers will be plugged into Hub 2.

I need to connect 6 wireless devices to the network. The wireless router needs to dole out the ip address to the 6 wireless devices.

Everything needs to be connected to the internet.

Everything needs static ip addresses.

As I have always set things up, the wireless router is always first in line. Does it make a difference if the wireless router is last in the chain? Does it make a difference if the router is plugged into a hub and not a computer?

Will this set up work?

Is it possible to change the arrangement, or would distance from the router cause a problem?
PC1->router-.hub1 &hub2-and so on.

If you were able to put the router first and run the hubs out of the ethernet ports it would work.

As far as putting it last, I'm not real sure. I have seen people use them on the end of their chain but that is because they used it more as a gaming adapter sort of set up which was receiving it's wireless from a router connected to the main PC.
