Bios wont appear on startup

Hi, help would be greatly appreciated on this one.
Just finished building new desktop, to my belief everything is wired properly; though this is my first build.
Powered on and in the manual it says that it should beep once if VGA is detected, and various other beeps for different problems. But there is no beeps.
I am using the M5a99x evo, FX 8120 and Radeon HD 6850
any ideas?
