I am curious to know where I can find the temperature ranges that are normal, or extreme for my current graphics card. I run HWmonitor, but unless I know what is extreme or normal it doesn't do me much good. I have seen it get up to 76C when gaming and that seems rather high.
current rig:
TA790XE AM2+/AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD motherboard.
AMD Athlon II x 4 620 Propus 2.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core
R6770 Core edition
Logisys 575W ATX12V SLI Power supply

Max temp for GPU is usually around 100C so you are fine with 76C which is normal under gaming.

On my HD5770, I do not remember seeing reported temperatures above 65C. Since the 6770 is little more than a 5770 die shrink with lower TDP, it should at the very least not run hotter.

Then again, the ducted heatpipe HSF on my 5770 might be a fair bit more efficient than XFX's non-ducted orb-style lump-o-aluminum HSF.
