Headset buzzing/humming noise

Hello
I've just got a pair of Triton ax 180s for my pc. The problem is that when I plug them in I can constantly hear a humming noise from them and occasionally i high pitched buzzing sound. I looked up on the internet and ahve a feeling it may be to do with some interference in the usb port. I was wondering if anyone knows how to solve this problem or even what's causing it.
Thank you

  4. Ace 650W BR Black PSU
  5. Have you tried the front panel connection? There's a ton of wires that can interfere in the back sometimes the fronts work better..
  6. I'm not certain but i think so
  7. I tried both the back and front
  8. that seems like a low quality ps, ive heard of issues with low quality ps, making buzzing sounds tru the audio ports and front panels.

that might be ur cause of ur problem, i know its happened to me before.
  9. Those have both usb and 3.5mm connects right? Which are you using?

So the only fix is to buy a new ps?
  12. well i cant say for shur, but try this first.

uninstall ur sound-card drivers. than download driversweeper. to remove the trace of old drivers.

than download latest ones, than comeback and let us know how that went
  13. Do you have the switch on the cable set to pc not ps3 mode?
  14. where will i find the driver to uninstall?
  15. Right click my computer/click manage/click devices/click sound/right click probably realtek/uninstall
  16. Before switch on the cable set to pc?
  17. whats ur motherboard model ill find u the correct driver.
  18. Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
  19. latest drivers.

    http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Driver/mb_driver_audio_via.exe

just uninstall ur drivers in uninstall programs part of the control panel.

restart ur pc. than install those drivers i told u to download :)

than let me know how it went.
  20. I can't find the driver i need to uninstall in programs and features...
  21. in device manager shall i uninstall via high definition audio?
  22. yes. thats right.
  23. the installer wouldn't work it says no high definition audio device detected
  24. I installed he driver now i can't hear any sound from my headphones...
  25. Unplug replug see if the found new hardware starts..
  26. Ok i can hear the audio now but I can still hear the humming as well..
  27. I didn't think drivers would help you never answer the swich qustion is the headset on pc mode?
  28. yes
  29. ok is it still in the return window? or do you own it?
  30. also have you tried on another computer?
  31. I don't have another computer to test it on but i experienced similar humming when using it with ps3 and according to their website the humming with ps3 was a grounding issue. I may return it if there is no ssolution.
  32. I'd say send it back at this point, you don't seem like swapping power supplies or tracking down grounding issues is in your wheel house. How much $$ was this?
  33. do you have any idea if this is the headphones or my pc?
  34. £35
  35. wont this issue effect any future headphones i buy as well though?
  36. Do you have ANY other headset to test with..
  37. The one you have is bizarre I've NEVER seen one uses usb+3.5mm at the same time..
  38. I have on that's usb only I don't notice the issue with it but it runs on it's own driver i think
  39. i dunno dude, doesnt sound right sounds like a soundcard issue or powersupply.
  40. Send it back 35 quid should get a REAL nice head without issues.
  41. Sorry headSET probably only average head for that price..
  42. yes, id return it, and get something more decent. what website u use to buy stuff?

    i could suggest something better
  43. What can you suggest preferably one that would work on ps3 as well
  44. u got a link where u bought them?
  45. i bought it from a retail store
  46. Damn these "gamer" headsets are pricy, for $300 top end I'd rather get the head. I use logitech usb for voice recog mostly and it works as well as any voice I've tried, but ps3/pc gamer headset is not in my wheelhouse good luck..
  47. hmm. can u return them and get a refund?
  48. Maybe this has already been suggested but if not.....before troubleshooting any further try the headphones elsewhere and try a different set on the noisy computer.
  49. Thanks for the help everyone. I returned the headset today. I plan on buying a steelseries 5hv2
