If Autotravel worked, you wouldn't notice anything! All it did was let
you move along a route you'd done before without having to be in
control for every little turn. The fact that Blizz killed it means that
if anyone is running oddly (ie getting stuck on scenery) it's a safe
bet they're autorunning and typing at the same time.
I saw that someone tried a workaround for Autotravel, where you had to
constantly hit a 'move' key each time you hit one of your original
waypoints, but what's the point in that?
Autotravel was a great addon, which hugely improved the more repetetive
aspects of the game (how many times have you run from the AH to the
forge/anvil/engineering trainer in Org, for instance?) without in any
way providing tools for bots. Every time I think of the journey through
Feralas, for instance, I just shrug and go somewhere easier.
