Graphic Card Recommendations for a Casual Gamer

I'm more of a Xbox 360 gamer (Halo Reach)....but may start playing some PC only games on a CASUAL basis like Diablo 3, Serious Sam 3: BFE, etc...likely FPS.

Otherwise, I will be web surfing, MP3, Office applications, etc.

Looking to upgrade the graphics (could use an existing Sapphire Radeon X800 on a temporary basis) for the following build?

Budget is $50-$80....thinking a HD 6670 or maybe a HD 7750. I like the HD 7770/6850, but they are over my budget....could wait for pricing to drop. Do NOT need 60 fps....30...probably 40 fps would be fine (drop to medium settings if needed). Already have a 25.5 inch Asus 1920x1200 and several SATA/IDE HDD.

  1. If you just want casual gaming then a 7750 is your best choice.

    Sapphire 7750.

I've linked this card according to your budget. It roughly ~$10 more, without tax.

If you need a lower priced card then a GTS 450 will do good as well.
  2. +1 to the 7750 imo best gaming card on a tight budget (both $ and power)
  3. 7750 right now= Right price, Right Performance (Like 550 Ti), Very efficient

That sapphire card suggested by fantastik is probably the best one to get out there, but I can even suggest these, These are silent 7750.
  4. This is the best deal that I have found here in Canada...CAD$79 after CAD$20 MIR:

Gigabyte Radeon HD 7750 OC 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E w/ DVI, HDMI, Dual DP
