BF3 flickers in multiplayer after a few minutes

I'm running bf3 for the first few times and I my screen starts flickering mid game. If I go in the menu and come back to the game the menu is on screen while it flickers.

My specs are

i5-3570k
z77a-gd65
gigabyte gtx 670
g skills 8gb 2400mhz
sandisk 240gb ssd
running stock not overclocked

My psu is seasonic 760w 80+ gold, temp max temp is 66C max% 82, max usage is 99% fan speed is 45% I played for a few hours and it didn't recreate the problem.

So IT just did it again after an hour or so of gaming,
max power 79
max temp 68c
max gpu% 99
fan speed max 45%

the only other thing I would suggest is to remove all Nvidia and AMD (if you've had in the past) drivers, re-download from the inner-webs and re-install see if that helps. Sometimes even if you do have the most current drivers they do not install correctly.

You may also want to check you're DVI/HDMI cable.

This is a new build so the first driver loaded was the most current and I'm running dvi d cable, I don't have this problem with any other game. I'm running on high settings and still get it, this system should be able to run bf3 on ultra.

yeah, you're right; I don't see anything in your specs that would hinder BF3 performance on ultra..... maybe reinstall the game or repair it, I'm assuming your running the game through origin?
