Hi,

Currently, I get around 50-60 fps in 6 v 6 servers for CS:GO (1920x1080). I want to boost this to over 100. What would be the best way to upgrade my current PC (mainly CPU or GPU)?

Athlon x3 450
Asus Radeon 6850 (no crossfire on mobo)
8 gb RAM

the problem isnt on the human side, its the monitor side. 2 major factors in fps is screen refresh rate and gpu. even if the computer displays 100 fps, on a 60hz monitor, it will only display 60 fps because the screen literally can only refresh 60 times. No human eye speed can change the screens refresh rate.

basically:

Gpu(and a bit of cpu): Decides how many pictures it takes

Monitor refresh rate: Takes intervals of those screenshots and display them, if its more than the screen refresh rate, then it skips some of the screenshots, if its less, it repeats frames. You cannot get by that fact.

No you can't. Your display updates, or refreshes, at fixed intervals. It does this typically either 60 times, or 120 times per second on a flat panel. Older CRTs may refresh 75 or 85 times per second.
