My friend wants a video editing rig that can edit gopro 1080p videos for around $1000 no more. I was thinking about going AMD A-Series crossfired with an HD7000 series. Any good suggestions for a CPU/GPU combo at this price point?

An 8350 would be great for this job.

Yes, only for video editing. I might go with an i5-3750/660Ti. Does anyone know of any good comparison benchmarks on this topic?

An i5 won't be "bad" at video editing, but the 8350 will be better.

Yeah go with the 8350 and a cheap GPU like a 7750 if you're not gaming.
