Hello, i plan on building my own pc so far here are the components. I plan on buying from new egg.

No, you do not need a sound card. It's built into the motherboard.
You do not need a NIC as long as you're using an ethernet cable (I highly recommend doing so).

Pump in a SSD in that build if you can afford it. Would be very good.
