I have both cards with updated drivers and the bridge is connected(After re-boot). Yet the Sli option still doesn't appear. Need some help please. :??:

Also I was told they were Sli compatible(Yahoo Answers).
So I don't exactly know if it is true or not.

Sorry kiddo. Your cards are not compatible. The shader count is different. the SE has 288 Cores and the regular 460 has 336 cores. Yahoo might has told you because the chips are both "460" but in reality they are not because of different core count. Tell me 2 things, what motherboard do you have and do the cards show up in the NVIDIA control panel

^ Yep. Different shader count so they won't work.

Ok well your options is you can use one of the 460's as a physx or you can sell one of the two and get another card with the same chip and then SLI... If i were you i'd just sell both the cards and buy a new GPU and not worry about SLI until later on. Your gonna loose money most likely if you just sell one to buy another

Ok so im guessing the 460 is better than the Se. But I also have a gtx 550 Ti (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...) laying around. Which is better the 460 or 550.

I am still able to max just about every game I play at 1920 x 1080 with my GTX 460 1GB. I don't play some of the more demanding first person shooters though. I do plan on picking up a GTX 660 Ti when they are released next month at least if it performs as well as I expect.

This might help. The graphics card hierarchy chart.

To do ultra. you need VRAM. Battlefield 3 needs atleast 1.5 or 2GB of vram. Its usually better to have one ubber card than two mid range cards
