Hi everyboby,

I 'm actually looking into building a new pc mainly for 3d rendering and gaming for about 700 € (~580 £).
What do you think about this :

- CPU AMD FX-8350 @4.0 GHz
- MB ASRock 970 Extreme3
- RAM 8 GB Dual Channel DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Tactical
- GPU MSI GeForce GTX 660 OC 2 GB
- HDD 1TB Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.D
- OCZ ZS Series 550W
- PC case Bitfenix Merc Alpha

or

- CPU Intel Core i5-3470 @3.2 GHz
- MB MSI B75A-G43
- RAM 8 GB Dual Channel DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Tactical
- GPU MSI GeForce GTX 660 OC 2 GB
- HDD 1TB Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.D
- OCZ ZS Series 550W
- PC case Bitfenix Merc Alpha

Please tell me if you have a better one or any comment to add ;)

I believe in rendering the fx will win, usually i5s are better, but i guess really matters on cost difference and how often u do 3d rendering.

Do not get an i7 if you plan on doing gaming, I repeat do not get an i7 if you plan on doing gaming. HT Does not help, infact it gives you less frames in games.

My opinion: Get whichever one is cheaper and put the saving into a better GPU.
