Hello,

So I recently just built a computer for my girlfriends dad and the thing won't start up. The most I get out of it is the fans move an inch and then it turns off (split second being on). I thought it was a grounding issue, so I re-seated the motherboard and checked to see if any spacers were touching it where they shouldn't be (nothing wrong of course). I've removed the RAM one by one (only 2 modules) and attempted boot, still nothing. All cables are plugged in properly.

Intel Core i5 3450
Kingston KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX 8GB Kit 2X4GB 1600MHz DDR3
Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 600W
On-board Video
Seagate 2tb hard drive

All of the components are brand new. I would really like some suggestions as I've never seen this before. On top of all this my girlfriend threw out the boxes all the components came in.

Alright, I managed to get the system to at least turn on for a a few seconds. However, now it turns on then 5 seconds later restarts (keeps continuing like this forever).

Any ideas? It's late and I'm stumped :(
