Reconnect dhcp on

i cannot connet to the internet .my computer says it cannot restart dhcp.what can i do.i have tried every thing i can but to no avail.i am not very good with the technical words but could do with some guidiance.......please help.Windows Vista.

DHCP is dynamic host control protocol, its what allows you to get an ip address. im assuming its the client network service that is failing. you can go to run and type services.msc to check and see what network services are disabled OR you can staticly route your computer. to static route your computer you want to go into your network adapter and instead of setting it to automatically pulling an ip address you type one in. this would bypass any dhcp on your computer.
