First test I've seen of the new Minolta 18-70/3.5-5.6 kit zoom:

Looks relatively poor wide open at the extremes, if you can even call
f/5.6 wide open. Lots of barrel distortion at 18mm.

(I'd post to rec.photo.digital.slr-systems but still don't have it.)
